OnePlus has put two new gaming phones on sale in China, the Ace 7 and the Ace 7 Pro. Both carry a 9,000mAh battery, a 200MP main camera and a small cooling fan inside the body. Only the Pro gets a periscope telephoto lens.
Prices start at CNY 4,399 for the Ace 7 and CNY 4,799 for the Pro, each with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. These are China prices in yuan, and we have not converted them.
A fan inside a phone, and two different chips
OnePlus’s Ace 7 Pro page describes the cooling as a dual-path “glacier” air system, with its own temperature sensor deciding when the fan spins up. In the company’s lab test, the area behind the chip ran up to 10°C cooler after an hour of Peace Elite at 185fps. That is OnePlus’s own figure, taken at a room temperature of 25°C, so treat it as a best case.
The chips are where the two phones part ways. The Pro has the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Ace 7 page lists the V Series version instead, though both pages give the same Adreno 840 GPU clock of 1200MHz. The screen is identical on both: 6.78 inches, 2772 x 1272, running from 1Hz to 165Hz, with 185Hz reserved for some games.

The specs come from the Ace 7 Pro and Ace 7 spec sheets, which are in Chinese. Without a telephoto lens, the Ace 7 stops at 1x optical and 20x digital zoom, while the Pro reaches 3.5x and 120x.
Nine variants, from CNY 4,399 to CNY 7,299
OnePlus’s official China store lists a price for every memory version, on its pages for the Ace 7 and the Ace 7 Pro. These are the plain list prices, without subsidies or coupons.

The 1TB Pro costs CNY 1,300 more than the 512GB one with the same RAM, a bigger jump than any other storage step on either phone.
Charging, ratings and the cleaning brush
With the fan running and the screen off, OnePlus says the bundled 100W charger takes the Pro to 60% in 30 minutes and the Ace 7 to 58%. Both phones are rated IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, and the box includes a small brush for cleaning the fan vents.
Both have Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen. The 5G bands on the spec sheets, including n41, n77 and n78, are the ones used in China, so anyone thinking of importing a unit should check them first.
OnePlus has not said anything about a launch outside China, and there is no confirmation about a global launch yet.
