PTA says its teams inspected 184 mobile sites across the country between 22 and 28 October 2026. That takes the number of sites monitored so far past 900.
Gilgit, Swat, Torghar, Mirpur and Kotli were on the list, as were Quetta, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, South Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad, Rahim Yar Khan and Nankana Sahib. Teams also went to rural areas of Arifwala.
The regulator gave the figures in a post on X on 30 October. PTA says it coordinated the visits with the operators, elected representatives, local stakeholders and district administrations. It describes the aim as finding shortcomings in service so they can be fixed promptly.
Counts and places, no findings
PTA’s post is a tally. It does not say what the teams found at the 184 sites, which operators’ towers were checked, or how many problems have been fixed since the visits began. Until the authority publishes results, the number tells readers how much ground it has covered, not whether networks in those areas have improved.
What the arithmetic says
The seven days from 22 to 28 October work out to roughly 26 sites a day, by our own calculation from PTA’s figure. And since the running total is above 900 after this round, the earlier rounds must account for more than 700 sites. PTA does not give a breakdown of those earlier visits in this post, and it gives no date for the next count.
