Ice Universe, a tipster, says the Galaxy S27 Ultra is unlikely to ship with Samsung’s own Exynos 2700 chip in Europe. In a post on X on 30 October, the tipster wrote that there are still no signs of an Exynos version for the European market, and that South Korea “remains uncertain”. Samsung has not announced the phone or confirmed any chipset.
If the claim holds, European buyers would get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in the Ultra, and Korea could go either way. These details are unconfirmed, and this particular question has swung back and forth for months.
Months of conflicting reports
The back-and-forth is long, and GSMArena’s recap lists it. July: Snapdragon for the Ultra everywhere. September: Exynos 2700 Ultras for Korea and Europe. October: a Qualcomm-only claim, then talk of the Snapdragon part overheating in Samsung’s tests (Qualcomm denied it), then a report that the Exynos won a round of internal comparisons.
That leaves tipsters disagreeing with each other, so Ice Universe’s latest note is one more data point rather than a settled answer. Samsung is reported to have started mass-producing the Exynos 2700 earlier this month, which says little about which phones will get it.
No launch date for the Galaxy S27 series has been announced, and nothing in these reports mentions Pakistan.
