HMD Pulse Pro 2nd Edition reportedly listed with Helio G99

A Thai retailer listing reportedly shows a refreshed HMD Pulse Pro with a 120Hz screen, Helio G99 chip and 256GB storage, with the same design as before.

Key points

  • A Thai Nokia shop listing shows HMD Pulse Pro 2nd Edition for 4,990 baht.
  • It lists Helio G99, 120Hz screen, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
  • HMD has not confirmed the phone.

HMD’s budget Pulse Pro may be getting a quiet hardware swap. A tipster on X found a Pulse Pro 2nd Edition on what looks like the Nokia Official Shop in Thailand, priced at 4,990 Thai baht (about $148). HMD has not announced it, so everything here is unconfirmed.

Photos show a black handset with the original’s styling, so the upgrade is meant to be internal. The page names a Helio G99 processor in place of the old Unisoc T606 and says it is 45% faster. Memory goes to 8GB with 256GB of storage, where the 2024 model topped out at 128GB.

Both cameras are 50MP, one at the back and one for selfies, and the shop adds “AI Camera” branding. The black phone in the listing matches the Black Ocean colour on HMD’s page for the original Pulse Pro, whose pictures illustrate this post. Scrolling is meant to feel smoother too, since the panel is listed at 120Hz against 90Hz before. GSMArena tracked the earlier leaks and compared them with the 2024 specs.

The same tipster’s earlier claims

Last week the same account posted what it called the European model: 5,000mAh battery, 20W charging, a 2MP extra sensor, OIS on the main camera and a 6.56-inch HD+ screen (the size may be a typo). Fusion and Crest Max are said to receive 2nd Edition updates too, using the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Dimensity 7025.

Treat the retailer page with caution: a Swiss shop listed the Pulse 2 Pro before IFA 2025, and that phone never shipped. HMD has not said anything about Pakistan or other markets.
