vivo Y32 5G lists an 8,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip

vivo's Y32 5G pairs a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip with the same 8,000mAh battery and IP68/IP69 ratings as the 4G model. Price not announced.

Key points

  • vivo has listed the Y32 5G with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and an 8,000mAh battery.
  • Only 6GB + 128GB is listed, in a gold finish and Midnight Black; price not listed.
  • It is a different phone from the 4G Y32 that went on sale in Pakistan.

vivo has put a 5G version of the Y32 on its website, keeping the 8,000mAh battery and the IP68 and IP69 dust and water ratings of the budget phone, and swapping in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. It is a separate phone from the 4G Y32, which uses a Unisoc processor, and the two should not be confused.

The listing shows a single version, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, offered in a gold finish and in Midnight Black. Neither a price nor a sale date has appeared on vivo’s official pages.

vivo Y32 went on sale in Pakistan on 31 October, and vivo’s Pakistan page for the Y32 mentions the 5G model only in a charger footnote, saying that both phones ship with an 11V/4A FlashCharge adapter that supports up to 44W.

Gizmochina, which wrote up the listing, gives these details:

What vivo’s Y32 page promises, and what it excludes

On the Pakistan page for the Y32, vivo quotes lab figures such as up to 20 hours of short-video playback and a battery that keeps 80% of its capacity after 1,500 full cycles, which it equates to about six years of use. Those numbers come from vivo’s own tests under set conditions, and the page notes that real results vary with temperature, signal and usage.

The same page says the IP68 and IP69 ratings were earned in a laboratory, that the phone is not a professional waterproof device, and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Buyers who take the 5G model for its rugged claims should read that fine print.

What is still missing

There is no price, no launch market and no sale date yet, and the Y32 5G’s retail spec sheet has not been published on a vivo page we could read, so the figures above are as reported from the listing.

vivo has not said whether the Y32 5G will be sold in Pakistan.
