Samsung’s next mid-range phone, the Galaxy A58, has reportedly passed China’s 3C certification, and the listing suggests no faster charging than the Galaxy A57 offers. Samsung has not announced the phone or a launch date.
The certificate is for model number SM-A5860, a 5G phone that supports up to 45W wired charging at 15V and 3A. The record also notes that no charger comes with it, so buyers would need to bring their own adapter. A certification entry shows what the phone was tested with and nothing more, so the final retail specs could still differ.
Gizmochina spotted the listing and pulled together earlier hints about the phone. In August the A58 appeared in the GSMA IMEI database. Last month a leak from the Samsung fan site GalaxyClub claimed the cameras are unchanged from the A57: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide and a 5-megapixel macro, with a 12-megapixel selfie camera. The same leak points to Android 17 with One UI 9.5, and a test firmware build, A586BXXU0AZI5, was seen on Samsung’s servers in October.
The Galaxy A57 launched on 25 March this year with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display at 120Hz, an Exynos 1680 chip, up to 12GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, 45W charging and IP68 dust and water resistance. If the A58 repeats its cameras and charging, any upgrade would have to come from the chip, battery or design, none of which has been leaked yet.
Following the A57’s schedule, a launch around March 2027 looks plausible, possibly after the Galaxy S27 series. That timing is a guess based on the A57’s schedule, not something Samsung has said. Treat everything above as unconfirmed until the company shows the phone.
