OnePlus 12 gets ColorOS 17 on 17 November, Open and Nord 6 follow

OnePlus has dated the Android 17-based ColorOS 17 update for six more devices in November, with the OnePlus 12 first in line on the 17th.

Key points

  • The OnePlus 12 is scheduled to get ColorOS 17 on 17 November.
  • The OnePlus 13R started on 5 November; Pad 3, Open and Nord 6 follow by 26 November.
  • OnePlus says dates are approximate and rollouts come in batches.

If you own a OnePlus 12, the Android 17-based ColorOS 17 update is scheduled for 17 November. OnePlus has published its November plan, covering six devices, and the OnePlus 13R has already started receiving it.

The plan lists the OnePlus 13R from 5 November, the OnePlus 12 on 17 November, the OnePlus Pad 3 on 18 November, the OnePlus Open on 24 November, and the OnePlus Nord 6 and Nord CE 6 on 26 November.

The schedule is approximate. ColorOS’s own rollout post carries a note that dates can change with the device, region and carrier, that the update arrives in batches until it covers all global users, and that the order in which models are listed does not show the actual order. Carrier-exclusive models follow their carrier’s own timetable. In practice, the date marks the start of the rollout, so the update may reach your phone days later.

ColorOS 17 is also the release where OnePlus moves its phones from OxygenOS to ColorOS, the software OPPO uses. The OnePlus 15 was updated in late October, and the older models are now being brought across. OnePlus describes the release with the theme “Flow with AI, Flow Everywhere”, aimed at AI tools and smoother moves between tasks and devices.

The same graphic covers realme, whose GT7 and GT7 Dream Edition also start on 5 November. It also notes that the rollout for OPPO’s A series and realme’s C series depends on how far adaptation work has got, so those models have no fixed dates yet.

Around 13 more OnePlus devices are expected to follow in December and the first quarter of 2027, among them the 12R, the 11 and the Pad 2. Owners can also check for the update by hand through the system update button in Settings.
