WhatsApp for iOS is now free but starts annual subscriptions
You can now download WhatsApp for free on your iPhone but need to purchase an annual subscription of $0.99 per year after one year from the date of first use. WhatsApp gives first year for free to use before ending your free subscription and asking you for $0.99 to renew the subscription for another year.
