HMD announced first two feature phones, Nokia 150 and 150 Dual SIM

HMD has announced their first ever Nokia branded feature phones – Nokia 150 and Nokia 150 Dual SIM for various markets costing only $26 (~€25 or PKR. ~2,600/-) before any local taxes and/or subsidies.

Well it’s for that mass market far from smartphones but of course HMD has already announced about their plans and this announcement of feature phones is no surprise. Android powered smartphones will be coming in 2017.

Nokia 150 is the first post-Microsoft feature phone and the first to launch after Nokia-HMD deal. Built with durable polycarbonate that is scratch resistant, Nokia 150 and the Nokia 150 Dual SIM have 2.4 inch screen and feature built-in FM radio, MP3 player, games and long lasting battery life.

The phone also has a VGA camera with resolution of 640×480 pixels only that comes along an LED flash.

“To ensure users can stay connected for longer, the phones have outstanding battery life, with talk time lasting up to 22 hours, and standby times of up to 31 days for the Single SIM and 25 days for the Dual SIM variant. The phones charge with a standard micro-USB charger and come with a LED torchlight.”

The phones will become available globally in select markets – rolling out first in APAC, IMEA and Europe – in first quarter of 2017.
