I wonder if anyone there knowing MeeGo/Harmattan based Nokia N9 and also knowing recently launched Lumia 800 powered by Windows Phone 7.5, isn’t familiar with the similarities between both. Other than a few soft buttons/keys and a hardware camera key there is hardly a difference of a bit of size between both. But there sure is a big difference packed inside them. Both of the devices are running on completely different track, Lumia 800 with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 OS while N9 is the only standing device from Nokia running MeeGo/Harmattan OS.
Leaving the OS apart there is also a difference in the hardware, a little bit though. Before going on with comparing them both we should keep in mind that N9 has already gained a lot of appreciations globally being a perfect device from all aspects.

UPDATE: Price factor has been added.
Actually I left the price factor intentionally before and didn’t add it in the chart above because price is always a varying factor from one region to another as well the price keeps changing by time and on arrival of new devices so I preferred it not to add. Any way now I’ve added the price factor as well and that actually makes it a bit biased towards Lumia 800 which will cost at Euro 420/- that is lower than the price tag of Nokia N9 16GB – prices are as from initial announcement of both devices at Nokia Conversations.
And if talking about the price in Pakistan, Lumia 800 has not yet been launched and we don’t have any idea about when it will be launched here in Pakistan but if evaluating the price only with N9’s price which is currently around Rs. 48,000/- inclusive of all taxes I guess Lumia 800 will be around the same price tag up to Rs. 50,000/- (may be after being stable from a bit high value) it should be actually not more than that for consumer attraction and at that time N9 may have dropped its value down.
Apart from everything if you consider more towards the apps and the ecosystem for the platform, then of course Nokia Lumia 800 is a long go device with a bigger range of apps at Windows Marketplace. Though Nokia N9 has some attraction for the developers who look busy making Qt based apps for N9 or MeeGo/Harmattan.

If you mention the price also in your comparison section than it will be great...
Actually, the N9 does have ClearBlack: http://westgatenetworks.com/anytech/nokia-n9-clearblack-display-produces-amazingly-bright-colors/
@5e31f9e965f7a4dd4efbcbdcc7c5a87a:disqus Yes! I know a few sites telling that N9 does have CBD (Clear Black Display) but I doubt they have some authentic information on it.
Nokia never mentioned N9 having CBD any where. CBD is a key component in a Nokia device that they won't skip mentioning this in specs if a device actually has it.
However Nokia N9, as clearly mentioned by Marko in launch event keynote, does have a laminated deep black display (that's not CBD) which makes the display actually black (but not as black as CBD) and brings the user interface like floating onto the surface of screen.
Love my N9 ... :-)
It would be interested to read user experience comments.
Both have quite good user experience.
