Android 7.1.2 Nougat public beta started rolling out

Google has announced that it’s releasing a public beta of Android 7.1.2 Nougat, an update to its latest version of Android Nougat while it will be rolling out to everyone with supported devices in coming months.

Today’s public beta release of Android 7.1.2 is only available to registered users with eligible devices under its Android Beta Program. If you have Google’s latest Pixel, Pixel XL, or Pixel C, you can get the updates from the beta program including the latest Android build.

Additionally Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and Nexus Player are also eligible to receive the Android 7.1.2 software update. The beta program page will automatically list your device that you have used with Google Play, if any of them are eligible right on the beta program page.

“Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users.” – Burke wrote in a blog post.

The final release of the Android 7.1.2 is expected to be launched in a couple of months. However the final built will also be available for only Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices.
