If we look at the recent releases, Galaxy S8 could be among the best smartphones. Do you think Nokia’s Android flagship phone could beat that curved Galaxy? Nokia 9 could indeed.
Following the Nokia 6 release by HMD, the Android community and Nokia’s loyal fans – all have their eyes on Nokia flagship phone running Android operating system. Nokia 9, just an addition to that lot of rumors, is supposed to be a high-end smartphone HMD and Nokia could be working on.
According to the Nokia focused news and rumors blog, HMD’s upcoming phone – called Nokia 9, is tipped to have featured with 5.5 inch Quad HD OLED display. Featuring an iris scanner, Nokia flagship is rumored to have powered by Snapdragon 835 mobile platform. Outrunning Galaxy S8, the Nokia 9 will feature 6GB of RAM while being available in 64 or 128GB storage options.
The Nokia flagship is supposed to carry is a fingerprint scanner and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. Running Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS, Nokia 9 will pack a 3800 mAh battery with QC 4.0 fast charging.
You can rightly compare the specs here as global Galaxy S8 versions will feature 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Nokia 9, if the report is true, will have an edge with an extended 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The major element we got here is the camera. Nokia 9 is rumored to feature the old Zeiss partnership.
Along with everything from Nokia’s phone business, Zeiss partnership was also effected and moved to Microsoft. Now when Microsoft has no plans to build any Lumia smartphones which might also kill the Zeiss partnership, Nokia is supposed to bring the lovely photography partnership back to its business. None of this is confirmed yet but Nokia 9 is rumored to carry Carl Zeiss optics with 22 megapixels camera on the back. There’s also a 12 megapixel camera on the front.
Additionally if you knew about OZO Audio — Nokia’s spatial audio technology with three-dimensional audio capture and playback capability, it might make the Nokia 9 first smartphone to carry it. Checkout the demo below to know the audio performance.
There is nothing to remark about as everything above you see is a piece of rumor. But if, for a time being, we take these reports to be true, Nokia might give a tough time to other manufacturers, provided their pricing factor. We have seen Nokia 6 to be cost around $250 globally around with other cheaper models. You can expect a competitive price for a high-end Nokia Android flagship as well. For now you must take it with a grain of salt.
