Nokia 8 near to be ready with Android Oreo – Beta Already “Maturing Nicely”

Nokia 8 Android 8 Oreo Beta Table

Google Pixel and Nexus device already started upgrading to the latest Android Oreo. That always triggers other manufacturers into competency, when, how and who will push the latest operating system version to their customers.

While LG and Lenovo/Motorola are supposed to be first along with Samsung who’s Galaxy S8 is also seen with Android Oreo beta update, the new HMD Global is also taking part in the first round of latest Android roll-out phase.

HMD Global released three smartphones this year with Android 7 software out-of-the-box. However the band has already promised Android 8 software for all of those devices. But the fourth and most recent Nokia 8 is supposedly being the first to taste the latest Android flavor Oreo, confirmed by Juho Sarvikas – the Chief Product Officer, HMD Global, on Twitter.

Juho Sarvikas tweeted “Android Oreo is already ‘maturing nicely’ on #Nokia8”, suggesting a public release not until everything seems to be perfect.

Nokia 8 running Android 8 Oreo

Well, it’s encouraging for the customers to see a Nokia 8 from an official standing just before intalling the beta build of Android Oreo. But he’s quite right about the fact that this needs perfection before it goes public. You should consider the typo “versioin” in the above screen.

There are also speculations that Nokia 8 may have some sort of customization. It’s not yet known that how “pure” Android Oreo update would be for Nokia devices. However if about 1.3GB of an OTA like above is to give some hint, it won’t be so much promising. Android 8 system builds for Pixel and Nexus devices released earlier already have over 1.6GB in size.

I know most of you would only be wondering about the latest software on your Nokia devices. But as Nokia 8 has not been released widely yet, you bet has to be on Nokia 6 at maximum for now. Also expect Nokia 8 to release with Android O in your region out-of-the-box.
