While community is looking for a high-end Nokia 9 from HMD Global, the one year old company has some other plans as well. After staying in speculations for quite a few days, the new generation Nokia 6 has now been officially listed in China.
The Nokia 6 (2018) costs 1499 Yuan in China which is approximately $231 (or PKR 25500) and goes on pre-order today while the sales starts from January 10th.

Nokia 6 (2018) – also known as Nokia 6 2nd-Gen, yet to be announced, has been listed on Nokia-China website with full of its glory. It’s rather enough to make first-gen Nokia 6 buyers a bit jealous as the new Nokia 6 is bringing much they have expected from it at first place.
Features
Where the new generation of tough Nokia 6 has the same design as original, it has some polished factors like the new 6000 series aluminium, anodized with two colors. It’s still a mid-ranger with an upgraded Qualcomm processor, Snapdragon 630 – 430 in original. RAM upgraded to 4GB with an optional 64GB storage model while a 32GB variant is still available.
The 5.5 inch-display of the phone still has the same full HD resolution as the original. It also has an undisclose version of 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
Design
Nokia 6 2nd-gen also feels to be a step ahead in the narrow bezel league. While they aren’t narrow enough to have your attention, they have little been shrunk at both from top and bottom bezels. Another prominent change is that the front-mounted fingerprint scanner is now on to the back side of the phone under the camera module.
Interestingly, the new model also features USB Type-C connectivity and comes with fast charging of up to 50% charge in 30 minutes.
Camera
While there is not a Carl Zeiss camera on this mid-range phone, it in fact has the exact 16 MP and 8 MP cameras on rear and front as original. However it borrows the high-end dual-view mode front/rear camera feature from Nokia 8.
Pricing and Availability
As told above, HMD Global has not announced the new Nokia 6 (2018) officially, it’s now available in China for pre-booking. The two 4 GB RAM models with 32 GB or 64 GB storage options cost 1,499 RMB or 1,699 RMB respectively. This 2nd-Gen Nokia 6 will go on sale from January 10th.
The estimated prices based on currency value suggest that the phone costs around $240 or $270 for both models or say PKR ~25,500/- or PKR ~29,000/-
