Nokia 7 Plus Feature

Nokia 7 Plus is another flagship phone that HMD launched today at MWC along with Nokia 8 Sirocco, the New Nokia 6 and Nokia 1. It’s the company’s first drop of 18:9 display smartphone as demanded by the market and specially its fans.

The phone has a 6-inch large display with full HD+ resolution. It’s an IPS LCD with Gorilla Glass 3 on top which is laminated and polarized just like previous iterations. HMD claims 500 nits of brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio.

It’s built from a single block of aluminium inside and has a ceramic-like finish with 6 layers of paint coat. With that kind of work, the phone has its antenna lines hidden underneath the coating and gives a nice and soft grip while maintains the signals and call quality. The phone has copper edges on the sides to add a two-tone contrast with the body.

There is Dual-Sight camera with ZEISS optics on the back with a 12MP camera and f/1.75 aperture and 13MP camera with f/2.6 aperture. The latter has telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The phone comes with Pro Camera mode that allows to manually control the camera settings – white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed and exposure.

On the front there a 16MP camera also with ZEISS lens. The phone will have Pro Camera mode for manual control over the camera, much better than the current manual mode on existing Nokia Android devices. The camera supports 4K video recording with 360° surround sound.

Nokia 7 Plus is listed under Android One program, hence will come with limited-number of apps pre-installed. It will ship with Android Oreo out of the box. The phone has a big 3800 mAh battery and promises to deliver 2-day battery life.

Pricing and Availability

The Nokia 7 Plus will be available in Black / Copper and White / Copper from early April and will retail for a estimated retail price of €399 (or ~PKR 54000). But don’t just convert the currency as when disclosed in the European price figure, it comes at a less price in other regions. Our formula is to keep the figure in US dollars. So expect the price around $400 in other regions, that makes it around PKR 40,000/-
