OPPO Reno S also featuring 64MP Camera and 65-watt fast charging

OPPO Reno S

OPPO is promoting its Reno series at a swift pace. Where the original Reno, then Reno2 and Reno 2F has just entered markets. The Reno Ace is the third one, but another Reno S is now in rumors to be the flagship among the series with the highest-resolution camera in smartphones and super-fast charging.

OPPO Reno S is said to have a 64MP main camera with Super VOOC 2.0 Fast charging technology. While the series has been featuring a quad rear camera setup more recently, it’s most likely that the Reno S will contain a similar camera array. However what resolutions will other sensors will stack up, is yet unknown.

The 64MP main camera replaces the 48MP unit in Reno2 and Reno Ace. The other three cameras on the existing two phones are 13MP, 8MP, and 2MP. There is also a 16MP selfie camera on the existing two phones — a motorized popup module on Reno2 and a notched front camera on Reno Ace. You can expect anything from the upcoming Reno S.

The 64MP sensor has already been featured in Redmi Note 8 Pro, Realme XT, ad Vivo NEX 3. It’s Samsung’s ISOCELL sensor which is now soon to feature in the OPPO Reno S.

Samsung 64MP Mobile Image Sensor

Unlike the existing phones with 64MP primary camera, the Reno S is said to be the high-end flagship with Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset.

The 65-watt charging has already shipped with the Reno Ace which has not yet come out of China. The tech is supposed to feature in Reno S with 4000 mAh battery.

Price and Availability

The Reno S is reported to launch early in December and should cost, according to sources, over $565. Starting with the availability in India first, it may follow in other regions. The price makes up the equivalent of PKR 88,000 in Pakistan if it makes it through.
