Vivo has launched a new budget smartphone, Vivo Y12s, in Pakistan. This is another addition to Vivo’s Y-series that recently brought Vivo Y51s to its mid-range line-up.
The Vivo Y12s features a 6.51-inch screen with IPS LCD display sporting HD+ resolution of 1600×720 pixels. Combined with a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, the Vivo Y12s features a MediaTek Helio P35 chip (MT6765) with an octa-core processor.
The phone runs the Android operating system with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 11 on top. The Y12s comes with the support of a 5000mAh battery and supports 10-watt charging. “A single full charge can provide up to 16.3 hours of online HD movie streaming or 8.9 hours of resource-intensive gameplay,” Vivo claims.
Vivo Y12s features a 13MP main rear camera paired with a secondary 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots and portraits. On the front, there is a single 8MP selfie camera.
Vivo Y12s comes with Vivo’s Multi-turbo 3.0 feature for gaming to reduce stuttering and lag, especially when too many applications are running simultaneously in the background.
The new phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. According to the company’s claim, it takes only 0.23 seconds to unlock from a bright screen. Note that it’s when the phone is not asleep with the black screen. Alternatively, you can use Face Wake feature to unlock the phone with your face using the front camera.
Pricing and Availability:
The Vivo Y12s is now available in the market with two colour options – Phantom Black and Glacier Blue. The phone costs Rs. 20,999 in Pakistan.
Vivo offers a one-year warranty for Y12s along with 15 days free replacement and 6 months warranty for accessories.
