Samsung is reportedly preparing an upgraded version of its Privacy Display for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, according to SamMobile. The screen feature first appeared on the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year, and nothing about the new version has been confirmed by Samsung.
Both phones are also tipped to get brighter displays, which would help outdoors in strong sun. The details are tipped, not announced, and Samsung has not confirmed them.
SamMobile’s report backs up earlier talk that the two higher-end models would carry the feature. Earlier rumours had also suggested the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ would get Privacy Display, but several reports now say those two will not have it.
The upgraded version is described as giving better screen privacy while keeping the display clear for the person using the phone. The standard S27+ is the model said to be left out. It showed up in safety listings on 2 November with 45W charging, the same as the S26+.
The report does not say how the new version improves on the S26 Ultra’s, whether through a wider area, better viewing angles or something else, and it gives no launch date, price or battery and charging details. Readers should treat the claims as unconfirmed until Samsung shows the phones, which is not expected before the S27 series launch next year. Until then, features and hardware details for the S27 range are mostly coming from tipsters and certification listings.
