Oppo Reno17 and Reno17 Pro specs tipped ahead of China launch

Digital Chat Station says the Reno17 has an 8,000mAh battery and the Pro a Dimensity 8550, both with a 50MP periscope camera and up to 12GB RAM.

Key points

  • Digital Chat Station tips an 8,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for the Reno17.
  • The Reno17 Pro is said to use a Dimensity 8550 and a 7,200mAh battery.
  • Both reportedly have a 50MP periscope camera and up to 12GB RAM.

Digital Chat Station, a Weibo tipster, has shared what the tipster says are the main specs and colours of the Oppo Reno17 and Reno17 Pro, which Oppo has confirmed will launch in China this month. The details came in a Weibo post that was later edited, and Oppo has not confirmed any of them.

Each phone is said to carry a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and buyers are said to be able to pick memory up to 12GB, with storage reaching 512GB.

Oppo’s launch date has not been given beyond the month. Digital Chat Station often posts Chinese phone specs, but the post was edited after publishing, so any of these figures could be corrected before the phones are shown.

The Pro is the smaller phone, with a 6.3-inch display against 6.5 inches on the standard model, and its battery is 800mAh smaller. The two also use chips from different makers, Qualcomm in the Reno17 and MediaTek in the Reno17 Pro.

According to GSMArena’s write-up of the post, the tipster listed five colours: First Snow White, Ice Moon White, Cocoa Brown, Starlight Pink and Adventure Meow. The write-up does not say which colour comes on which model, and no price is mentioned. The post was edited after it went up, so figures may still change.

Oppo’s own announcement that the series is headed to China in November is the only part of this that is official. The full details, prices and colour names will come with the launch, and there is no confirmation about markets beyond China.
