Finally the most awaited software update for Nokia N9 users has started rolling out just a few hours ago. Most of the blogs started publishing about this update but I just waited until I saw it my self and here are the screen shots. It seems that the software update will not take longer to reach most of the regions but if you didn’t see the update you might have to wait for it or you can manually check for the update by going through as following.

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and then select “Updates” tab.

The new software version of MeeGo for Nokia N9 is 20.2011.40-4 (PR1.1) brings music controls on the lock screen, improved multitasking, NFC tag reading and much more… see after the break…

Plus pre-loaded applications including Twitter, Facebook, Galaxy on Fire 2, Nokia Drive, Angry Birds, AccuWeather, NFS Shift have also been updated with a few others.

Just as usual the update is big and will take time to download and then a few minutes to be installed on the device. Nokia N9 will be restarted once finished updating.
