Nokia 603: 1GHz Symbian Belle Smartphone, Launch Pack inside, Differs a lot from Nokia 701

As it’s already known that Nokia recently has introduced a new smartphone powered back by 1GHz processor to its Symbian Belle family, the Nokia 603. By looks it really seems to be an impressive design with colourful back covers. But not up to match Nokia 701. Hence the cost value of Nokia 603 also is lower. read on to know more

The Nokia 603 is a compact design with a 3.5″ ClearBlack LCD with IPS technology and the capacitive touch screen features nHD resolution (360 x 640 pixels) with 16.7 million colours and 160° viewing angle. The 1000 nits brightness is just same as of Nokia 701. The smartphone offers quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G with 14 Mbps HSDPA and 5.7 Mbps HSUPA.

 

1GHz ARM 11 Processing Unit along with the dedicated 2D/3D Graphics HW Accelerator with OpenVG1.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0 support, Nokia 603 is just similar in this regard to Nokia 701. Hence it’s one of those devices which are capable of playing HD media with full of its strength as well as capable of running 3D games smoothly.

Nokia 603 bundles with 5 mega pixels camera on back for primary use which can capture still photos of up to 2592 x 1944 pixels of resolution as well as it’s capable of recording 720p videos at the frame rate of 30 (30fps). Unlike Nokia 701, Nokia 603 won’t have front facing camera for video calling.

Also comparatively with Nokia 701, Nokia 603 has less attractive storage memory options supporting only 2GB of mass storage memory with 350MB of maximum memory for user storage. However RAM and ROM are same as the ones in Nokia 701 having 512 MB of RAM and 1GB in ROM.

In addition to the built-in storage memory, Nokia 603 also support external memory extension up to 32GB via Micro SD card like most of the Nokia devices support.

Nokia 603 will come in two colours which are black, and white on front. In addition to the device colours availability the back cover of the Nokia 603 will also be available in six different colours. Well it’s really a nice factor of the device for the consumers to select their of their own colour choices.

The Nokia 603 will ship in Q4 2011 and is expected to cost around €200 before any local taxes or operator subsidies. Which is €90 lesser than the price of Nokia 701 when it was launched at €290 back in August.
