Nokia has officially announced another Asha family member the Asha 501. Nokia has presented the new Asha 501 with the revamped operating system and user interface of the series 40 platform. Pricing at $99 excluding taxes.
Nokia continues to introduce budget phones in Asha family to target mass markets with socially rich features. Following the teaser “What’s up at Nokia”, the Finish company has launched a new member in Asha QWERTY family of phones. A few days back we posted about the Viber that it was arriving on the Symbian, S40 and Bada OS. Well it has now. Viber has announced about the new versions of the application for the said platforms. In addition Viber has also added support for voice calling on Windows Phone and additional localization on iPhone version.
An alternative – more or less – to Skype or other VOIP services providers, Viber has disclosed their future support for platforms like Nokia’s Series 40 OS for feature phones, Symbian and Samsung’s Bada OS. Viber VOIP application is currently available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and RIM’s BlackBerry.

Nokia has unveiled two new handsets in the low-end of S40 line-up featuring Dual-SIM support, Nokia 110 and Nokia 112. Both handsets were introduced officially by Nokia in an event held in Karachi, Pakistan and will be available globally targeting emerging markets. It’s the first time ever Nokia held a global launch event in Pakistan for their upcoming phones.
As promised, Nokia has brought “Mail for Exchange” support on Nokia Asha phones “Nokia Asha 302” and “Nokia Asha 303”. Like many beta apps released from the Beta Labs of Nokia, first beta version of “Nokia Mail for Exchange” has now been released for Nokia Asha phones. .
