Huawei jabs at Samsung – Teases Mate 10 with Dual-Camera

Huawei Mate 9 - Dual-Camera Leica

By now, everyone knows about Samsung’s latest Galaxy Note 8, launched just recently. With two 12-megapixel sensors on its back, it’s Samsung’s first ever smartphone to carry a dual-camera.

The rival Chinese smartphone maker – Huawei didn’t let it go and welcomed the Korean giant indirectly. It was a quiet tone but a louder tease as they have been making dual-camera phones since over a year, by telling them right after the Galaxy Note 8 announcement.

“Welcome to the Dual Camera Family” tweeted Huawei’s Australian twitter handle earlier with company’s three flagship phones which featured dual-camera. Namely, Huawei P9 from April 2016, Huawei Mate 9 from November 2016, Huawei P10 from April 2017. It didn’t list Honor branded smartphones with dual-camera setup, however they also included its upcoming Huawei Mate 10 to continue with the hype among its fans.

What’s good in this kind of teaser or jab at a rival company? It’s the politeness as how the guys sitting at Huawei’s twitter handle delivered the opinion without disparaging about Galaxy Note 8. Well they better do it this way, as we have seen the sample camera shots from Galaxy Note 8, they might have too. If those photos are really SOOC from Galaxy Note 8, it’s going to give a tough job to probably all contenders to match this image quality. Not to mention that Galaxy S8’s and S7’s single-camera still lead Huawei P10’s dual-camera in DxO Mark’s rankings.
