The project is a Linux-based operating system code-named Meltemi, the Greek word for dry summer winds that blow across the Aegean Sea from the north. It is being led by Mary McDowell, the handset maker’s executive vice president in charge of mobile phones

A week ago Nokia UAE released an Ad “Show Yourself” for Nokia N9 which was good in making but the video quality wasn’t that impressive. That Ad was released just before the N9 Launch event held in Dubai. Well Farhan from senseapplied reached there and attended the event and got a very fresh and good quality Ad.
As part of the branding transition from “Ovi” to “Nokia”, Ovi Store was the latest when it got updated to Nokia Store and shipped to S60 v3 and v5 devices a few days ago. Now the update has made up to Symbian^3 devices. A few screen shots of the new Nokia Store on Symbian^3 device have already been published.

With the newest Symbian OS, Nokia X7 is the first in Nokia’s X series mobile phones line-up that’s powered by Symbian Anna (core Symbian^3). Stainless steel is an impressive addition to Nokia X7 as it’s finished with the making. It made Nokia X7 an attractive device with the AMOLED display under 4 inch capacitive touchscreen on front. And on-top, there’s the Gorilla glass. In respect to favour photography to make it up-to the date device, Nokia X7 comes with 8 mega pixel camera with dual-led flash.
It was earliest when we tested the Symbian Belle and reported about some Applications which were not compatible with Symbian Belle and those included the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini as well. Well we appreciate Opera being so quick in releasing compatible versions to the latest Symbian OS.
Nokia Pakistan has announced the Nine Lucky Winners of Nokia Recycling Campaign who win the brand new Nokia N8.
The recycling campaign held by Nokia Pakistan is a major step to help many kind of environmental issues around the globe. The campaign was started a few months ago and a large number of participants dropped off their (old but faulty) mobile phones as well as accessories at Nokia Recycling Points across Pakistan. It was a chance for people, who participate in the program, to win Nokia N8s in a lucky draw which was held just recently.
