Samsung Galaxy Camera & Nokia 808 PureView – Both are the first of their kind – Which is better?
Nokia 808 PureView has got attraction of the most. Many of them really praised the technology and the imaging quality of Nokia 808 PureView standing it on a top place of all camera phones and even comparable to most of the best point & shoot digital cameras. It’s been only a few months and now Android has started walking on another route that is the digital cameras. First Nikon introduced the very first Android powered 16MP camera S800c and a few weeks later Samsung came up with also a 16MP Galaxy Camera powered up with Android. Now the time is to see which one did well on their respective route.
Samsung has announced its first Android based compact digital camera, that equips with 16.3MP BSI CMOS Sensor and the Samsung Zoom Lens on front that provides 21x super zoom. Running on Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean, Galaxy Camera is supporting 4.8″ touch screen with all those features that make it really a smart camera. Backed up with 1.4GHz quad-core processor, the camera will be available in 3G and 4G variants along with Wi-Fi capability for network connections.
Well that’s not a rumour any more. After much speculation Nikon has officially announced its very first Android powered digital compact camera, Coolpix S800c 16 Megapixels CMOS Sensor, 10x Optical Zoom. The camera will have full hands on the Android platform with all its features and apps.
Recently leaked images of Android based compact smart camera from Nikon, Nikon Coolpix S800c continues to leave more trails just before the official announcement on August 22nd (that’s tomorrow). The most recent update on the camera is the detailed specifications.

we, here at techprolonged, once again got the opportunity first in Pakistan to test Nokia 808 PureView with first ever massive camera sensor of 41 megapixels. No doubt that we are posting this unboxing session quite later than we should do but seriously taking the Nokia 808 PureView in hands we got no hand free to write any thing about it and instead preferred taking pictures, pictures and pictures.
Nokia 808 PureView has shown its great results of imaging quality since its launch, whether it’s Nokia’s official sample shots or some reviews from photography enthusiasts who got the units for review. Almost in all of the tests inside whether it’s low-light, movement, outdoors, bokeh, and macro, the Nokia 808 PureView beats all the contenders.
