Mobilink Android customers will be able to buy Google Play content with their mobile accounts
VimpelCom Ltd. (the parent company of Mobilink Pakistan) has finalised the deal with Google to bring carrier billing for Google Play (the app store for Android devices) to its customers all over the globe. In result, the customers of Mobilink in Pakistan (or other child companies of VimpelCom in other markets) will be able to buy apps, games, books and other content from Google Play store via their mobile accounts. No credit cards or debit cards will be required.
Google’s first Android tablet named “Nexus 7”, which had reportedly been in rumors and leaks for a few days, now has been officially announced by Google. Company’s first tablet visually has some great pin points with regards to the build size, weight, resolution, processor and some extra add-ons in hardware e.g. NFC if compared to league of its size from earlier days.
Google has expanded Google+ SMS support to 41 new countries in addition to the initial “United States” and “India”. The expansion includes Pakistan. Other services like 2-step verification has already SMS support for Pakistan. Unfortunately the service is not available for all of the operators in Pakistan but only Mobilink.
Mobilink Pakistan and Google Pakistan have recently partnered to bring free SMS chat from Gmail to the Mobilink subscriber. There is however much detail, to be understood with, regarding the policies of the service from both companies whether it’s cost or limits. Google Pakistan and Mobilink have partnered to bring free Web-to-SMS chat service. That means a Gmail user now can send SMS to any Mobilink subscriber to initiate a chat session. Of course that Mobilink number will have option to reply back to the Gmail user while this will cost Rs. 1+Tax for each SMS to the phone user if he/she replies back.
Google has officially announced the missing part of Google+ community, the “Google+ Pages” for businesses. It may seems be longer but I guess not that much longer that Google+ pages have been officially launched and you can easily set up a page for your business or brand. Initially when I attempted to create one earlier today right when I got the feed from Google’s official blog post about the launch, it wasn’t available for everyone. Though in just a few hours Google+ pages were open for everyone and we also have got our page set up.
A big day as usual for Android users, specially CyanogenMod users! a new version of CyanogenMod has been released that is 7.1. You’ll find many new features and support for building on 68 devices! Upgrading from any previous CM-7 release or nightly build should be smooth and no wipe should be required.

Facebook has announced a new feature called the “Subscribe” button. That is; if you are interested to hear from some individual’s like journalists, artists and political figures but you personally do not know them, so adding them as your friends and asking them to accept your friend requests is really not a good idea, it actually never was a good idea which Facebook now has identified and gave you the option to “Subscribe” their statuses and posts.
Google has announced very first version of Blogger App for iOS devices. With new Blogger App for iOS you can write a new Blog Post, publish the post immediately and save it as a draft.
